New work wear protocol
For the new season, Beekenkamp has further tightened the hygiene protocol. All staff at the locations where young plants of fruit bearing vegetables are grown will have to wear clothing made available by the company.
The clothing is washed on a daily basis and exists in different colours, enabling the necessary control. The internal signposting has also been renewed, changing rooms have been adjusted and extra disinfecting measures have been taken.
Graft specialism, New Grafting machine
For many years, Beekenkamp has invested in its own grafting department and has become fully specialized in the process. In grafting, rootstock is used that is resistant against difficult to control soil-born diseases and provides extra vigour. This is used for grafting a variety that develops more and better fruit. In for example situations where less suitable crop protection is available and where there is a need for improvement of the yield a grafted plant can be a good solution. With its new grafting machine, Beekenkamp pursues further efficiency and optimisation of this specialism.
