Beekenkamp. An established presence in the world of horticulture. The company was founded as true family business in 1951 by Govert Beekenkamp. What began as a market garden company with a greenhouse covering 1.3 hectares, has grown into a leading player in the horticulture trade, with annual production of starting material of over 2 billion units and a total greenhouse area of more than 95 hectares. Our motto: ‘Together for the best result’ is a guarantee of quality and reliability for our customers and partners.
Our blooming history
1951
Mr. Govert Beekenkamp starts the company with a 1.3-hectare greenhouse for vegetable cultivation.
1980
The company expands through the acquisition of Lyraflor Chrysanten
1982
Beekenkamp Verpakkingen starts manufacturing trays and other custom-made items.
1993
Beekenkamp Plants Ornamentals launched with takeover of the Leen de Mos Tropica company.
1995
Production locations set up in Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia.
1997
Purchase of Blokker Plantenkwekerij in Lutjebroek and Novaplant in Rousson (France).
1998
Takeover of the Delta Stek company and collaboration with Hoek Breeding; name changed to Deliflor.
2000
Daughters An & Margriet take over their father's company shares.
2008
Deliflor enters Latin America and Japan through the takeover of Florema, broadening its product range.
2015
Beekenkamp Group is crowned Family Business of the Year by Hillenraad.
2016
More space allocated to raising young fruit vegetable plants in ’s-Gravenzande.
2021
Beekenkamp Group celebrates its 70th anniversary. A milestone in the long history of the family business.

Inauguration of the Beekenkamp Research and Development Center.

Opening of site K for raising ornamental and vegetable plants.

Beekenkamp Group is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. The family history of Beekenkamp Group began in 1951 with founder Govert Beekenkamp. His vision and entrepreneurship laid the foundation for a versatile and innovative company within the global horticultural sector. Commitment, reliability and innovation have been central to the company since its inception and remain its core values today.
