Beekenkamp Plants introduceert Superstar ‘Kayla Red’ in nieuwe Poinsettia catalogus

Deze week heeft Beekenkamp Plants, als gepassioneerd veredelaar, de Poinsettia catalogus voor 2022 uitgebracht. Hierin wordt ieder jaar de nieuwste Poinsettia veredeling gepresenteerd. Dit jaar de eer aan de Superstar ‘Kayla Red’; de ideale Poinsettia voor kweker, handel en export.

Kayla Red valt niet alleen op door haar rode eikenblad, ook heeft ze de perfecte V-vorm en een mooie cyathia. Door haar lange houdbaarheid is het daarnaast de ideale plant voor een langere verkoopperiode. In Noord-Amerika is Kayla Red ook al opgevallen. Tijdens de Plantpeddler Poinsettia Variety Day 2021, een proef met 175 commerciële en pre-commerciële Poinsettia variëteiten, scoorde zij als beste rode variëteit!

Naast de nieuwste variëteiten bevat de catalogus van 2022 ook meer informatie over de nieuwe 128-gaats BKX-tray; de duurzame tray die onder andere uitermate geschikt is voor het automatisch oppotten van Poinsettia’s.
