New members added to the Beekenkamp Group’s executive board

The Beekenkamp Group, located in Maasdijk, will effect changes in the composition of its executive board on 1 January 2018. The executive board currently made up of An Beekenkamp and Peter Persoon will be joined by Marc Driessen and Peter Zaat.

Marc Driessen will become the director of the Ornamentals division’s activities within Beekenkamp Plants and will be in charge of the cutting production locations in other countries.
Peter Zaat will become the director of Deliflor Chrysanten.
An Beekenkamp will remain the director responsible for the Vegetables division’s activities within Beekenkamp Plants as well as the director of Beekenkamp Verpakkingen. An will also be in charge of various general activities at Beekenkamp such as HRM, purchasing, transport and technical services.
Peter Persoon will focus mainly on tasks within the management at Beekenkamp such as general and financial affairs, ICT, geothermal heat and support for activities in other countries.

Marc Driessen and Peter Zaat, the newly appointed board members, are not new to the group. Marc began his career as a trainee on 1 June 1995 at Beekenkamp and later became responsible for production in the Ornamentals division in the Netherlands. Together with the Beekenkamp Group, Marc established Maranque Plants in Ethiopia in 2004. Peter Zaat began his career as a trainee in 1988. Later he was active as a crop consultant and he has been the commercial director at Deliflor for several years now.
